In my last post, Grace That Covers Completely, I wrote about the overwhelming reality that God’s grace meets every part of who we are.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
But what happens next?
Once we realise that grace covers us, how do we live in that truth? How do we start to truly believe that truth?
Grace doesn’t just forgive; it transforms.
It invites us to live differently – not striving for perfection, but responding in love. Something God has revealed to me over the last few years is that: We can only control our own reactions, how we react to others and their space, how we feel and what we do with that. We can not control that of others, nor their hearts. In short, He has taught me to only focus on myself and my own heart.
When we understand that we are fully covered, we can stop hiding behind shame. We can begin walking as people who are called, not condemned. Called in Christ and called for more.
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:1
Grace changes how we see ourselves and others. It teaches us to extend to others what God has freely given to us.
Walking Daily in Grace
Living in grace is a daily practice – not a one-time revelation.
Some mornings I wake up still feeling unworthy, still caught between who I was and who I want to be.
That’s when grace whispers: “You’re still mine.”
It’s in those moments we choose to walk by faith, not feeling. To pause and remember the love the Lord has for us, that He chose YOU. A We choose to believe that His grace is still enough, even today.
Grace at Home
Grace doesn’t just change me — it changes us.
In marriage, in parenthood, in friendships, it softens our tone, deepens our patience, and reminds us that we’re all works in progress.
When tempers rise or exhaustion creeps in, I try to pause and remember:
The same grace that covers me, covers them too.
This perspective transforms the home. It turns ordinary moments into opportunities for mercy. For true understanding and compassion. To reveal the love and heart of Christ. And yes, I get it wrong DAILY, but that is where God’s grace steps in, covers me and teaches me and ultimately re centres the way I think and do, it brings me back to Christ everyday, because let’s face it, we can’t do it without him!
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
Ephesians 2:8

Where in your life do you need to stop striving and start resting in grace?
